RECAP: Adobe Resident, Christine Herrin/ Storytelling & Book Making Workshop

In this workshop, graphic designer, letterer and Adobe Creative Resident Christine Herrin guided attendees through her process of working from analog to digital. Each participant used a favorite phrase or bit of inspiration from the WeMake conference the day before as a starting point to create their own unique page in a collaborative book.

Participants incorporated original handmade elements using brushes, markers, and paint. The fun started when they took their illustrations and transformed them digitally with the Adobe Apps: Adobe Capture and Adobe Draw.  Using iPads, their illustrations were photographed with Adobe Capture, and then transformed into instantly editable vector art in Adobe Draw. Color and other digital details we added with Apple Pens, and the final pieces were bound together in a book for each to take home.
