Drawing inspiration from hand-painted signage and folk-art, as well as the architecture of Luis Barragán, we came up with the concept of a small cluster of houses that would blend the two aesthetics and color schemes. The birdhouse itself is made from an “upcycled” wooden play castle that was found at the Goodwill bins, and a manzanita branch is used to visually unify the houses while providing a place for the birds to perch before going inside.

Makers: Sean Garrison and Wes Younie

Materials: Found Wooden Castle and Manzanita Branch
