My piece is about connecting opposites, a birdhouse that resembles a futuristic artifact. A simple stone structure that could be found in Fred Flintstone's front yard or George Jetson's living room. The stone attracts moss and lichens, a slow and continual metamorphosis that reflects the dynamic environment of the Pacific Northwest. The birdhouse was cast in a pair of vintage light fixtures, and can also be used as a planter.
